This Book, These Laws

The Holy Bible:
What's the Rub About Biblical Laws?

PART I

So, let us take a look at what passes as law in the Bible. Keep in mind that if the LORD commanded it, it must then be true, correct? If you are a Christian do you or do you not hold the words of the Bible to be the utter, literal truth? Before you answer I want you to recall what it says in Isaiah 40:8, "The grass withers and the flowers fade, but the word of our God stands forever."

Now then, if you establish that the word of God stands forever you must come to some kind of conclusion as to whether or not these laws in the Old Testament still hold true. And DON'T give me any of that 'old law, new law' crap. If you say that the word of God stands forever and NEVER FADES then out of logical necessity these laws must still be true. After all, if these laws are no longer good and no longer apply...then how can you say the word of your God stands forever?

Psalm 119:124 says, "I am your servant; deal with me in unfailing love, and teach me your decrees."
This is an interesting verse. Look at the semantics of this verse and consider the foundation of Christianity: a Master/Slave relationship. That right there ought to be warning enough of a really screwy way to think and believe. There is NO love to be found in slavery...even when man is the slave and God is the master.
Here is an excellent video on biblical slavery:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XIhNimX9Msk

Psalm 119:117 says, "Hold me up that I may be safe and have regard for your statutes continually."
And what does this verse say? What is the message conveyed here? Why, if I can just do whatever God says to do...down to the very last jot and tittle...then I shall be okay and safe and held up by God.
Are many Christians so blinded by their eagerness to avoid hell that they really do whatever God asks? The Quran is often held high in the air by the hands of evangelicals and Christian fanatics alike who loudly accuse and automatically convict the words of the Muslim faith as evil, dangerous, hateful, vengeful, and a clear indication of the terrible things Allah instructs His followers to do in His name, and for His glory, and ultimately the glory of Islam.
"Our God is an awesome and loving God who would NEVER instruct His people and His Church to engage in atrocity after atrocity. Our God...the God of Abraham and Isaac and Jacob...would never instruct or encourage His children to do what is clearly wrong and immoral. God instructs His people, His children, to do only those things which bring Him great glory."
Are you SURE about that? Why don't you enlighten humanity by giving a full explation of how and why child abuse is a glory to God:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OYvcc8ui3CM

Psalm 119:112 says, "My heart is set on keeping your decrees to the very end."
That is absolutely correct...whatever you do, whatever anyone says, whatever the suffering, whatever the turmoil, whatever the dastardly deed so long as you are doing what GOD wants you to do you will be okay. Keep every word of God to the bitter end. Sounds JUST like what those assholes who hijacked planes and flew them into buildings believe.
Obey everything God wants and says and tells you to do? Don't worry about the consequences because God takes care of such things?

Psalm 119:71 says, "It was good for me to be afflicted so that I might learn your decrees."
Translation: This is what I get for not listening to God and the Bible. This is the kind of thinking  that the end-of-days morons have every time there is a major natural disaster, right? Oh no! A volcano erupted! God MUST be teaching us a lesson. This is how the people who went through the Bubonic Plague thought. Seriously. They thought they were being afflicted by God for disobedience. So ridiculous.

Romans 11:33 says, "Oh, the depth of the riches and the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable his judgments, and his paths beyond tracing out."
There is zero knowledge and even less richness to be experienced by spiritual thuggery. And of course adherents to God and the Bible will say God's judgments are unsearchable and His paths beyond tracing. Nothing He does makes sense and this is the pathetic excuse people make for Him and His lunatic instructions and actions, "Oh, we just don't understand the will of God." Whatever.
This man would have you believe that the first step to really understanding God and His ways is to fear God. Basically, you cannot understand God until you are afraid of Him:

Genesis 26:4-5 says, "I will make your descendants as numerous as the stars in the sky and will give them all these lands, and through your offspring all nations on earth will be blessed because Abraham obeyed me and did everything I required of him, keeping my commands, my decrees, and my instructions."
Yes. Do everything I say to do and you will be just fine. Even if I tell you to do something bad or mean or degrading or hurtful or wicked. This message is repeatedly beat into the slaves of Christianity time and again.
Listen to God and He will give you land. Of course, the small print is that the land is already occupied. Don't worry. If you listen to God He will give you strength to destroy the inhabitants:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fHuwwK80ud8

Exodus 15:26 says, "He said, "If you listen carefully to the Lord your God and do what is right in his eyes, if you pay attention to his commands and keep all his decrees, I will not bring on you any of the diseases I brought upon the Egyptians, for I am the Lord who heals you."
That's right! Do everything God says and you will be fine. In fact, do everything God says and eventually when you die you will be perfected. God will allow you good health and to be free of diseases if you just listen to His every word. Well, look at that. The Immaculate Deception:

Leviticus 25:18 says, "So keep my rules and my decisions and do them, and you will be safe in your land."
So, is the reason why God did not allow the Native Americans to remain safe in their land because they did not worship HIM instead of other gods or spirits of Nature?
In this video we find out that it is not so much of God keeping you safe as it is being safe FROM God and His ever-present, most mighty wrath:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BRmsrb1fTjQ

Deuteronomy 4:1 says, "And now give ear, O Israel, to the laws and the decisions which I am teaching you, and do them, so that life may be yours, and you may go in and take for yourselves the land which the Lord, the God of your fathers, is giving you."
Ah! THIS is why the Native Americans lost their land. God had promised it to other people who were perfectly willing to do anything He asked them to do in exchange for the land.
Listen to what this man says about fifteen seconds in...something along the lines of God saying, "I took the land they lived in and gave it to you." Do you think the settlers had this in mind as they pushed westward in North America?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C5s8vBbOJ6Q

I Kings 9:6-7 says, "But if you or your descendants turn away from me and do not observe the commands and decrees I have given you and go off to serve other gods and worship them, then I will cut off Israel from the land I have given them and will reject this temple I have consecrated for my name. Israel will then become a byword and an object of ridicule among all peoples."
You know what, a God that feels He has to threaten around every goddamn corner just to get His people to behave and do His bidding has some serious problems to address. This is not commitment. This is not behaving in a worthy manner. This is a really twisted way of disguising threats as gifts.
   Hummm...so God's blessings ARE conditional:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CQ9Ww4KKkJA

Leviticus 15:26 says, "Every bed whereon she lies all the days of her discharge shall be to her as the bed of her period; and everything whereon she sits shall be unclean, as the uncleanness of her period."
And to think bullshit like this was considered law. Even worse, it supposedly came from God. You would think that this amazingly powerful, all-knowing God that created man would have known and thus would have informed people properly as to the function and purpose of the human body.
Oh. My bad. These are OLD Testament laws. Only the NEW Testament laws apply now, right? No, it ISN'T right. If the old things in what is supposed to be God's own law from His own mouth are no longer good, honey you have just pulled the plug on God's Word being unchanging and never fading away. Ask Christians about this and you will see a collage of explanations for this particular inconsistency:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tZe_uhh09SI

Matthew 5:21-22 says, "You have heard that it was said to the people long ago, "You shall not murder, and anyone who murders will be subject to judgment. But I tell you that anyone who is angry with a brother or sister will be subject to judgment. Again, anyone who says, "Raca!" is answerable to the court. And anyone who says, "You fool!" will be in danger of the fire of hell."
So, maybe this is something that all the evangelicals out there ought to take a look at, all the evangelicals that prance about on Sunday television and rant and rave that gays and lesbians ought to be electrified. And what about Jimmy Swaggart and his fucked up comment that he would kill a gay and just tell God he died? How about the preachers who think that the government should have the duty of putting gays and lesbians to death as per these old bullshit laws?
     Try this on for size:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G5h_FVbGac0

Exodus 20:13 says, "You shall not murder."
Well, let's see here...the Thirty Years' War, the French Wars of Religion, the Nigerian Civil War, World War I, World War II...
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VS5-uYLiKmw

Deuteronomy 5:17 says, "You shall not murder."
...the Second Sudanese Civil War, the Crusades, the Lebanese Civil War, the Spanish Inquisition, the Salem Witch Trials, the War on Terrorism, decimation of the Natives in the Americas...Lord, this list goes on and on and on.
So, do you think God saw these problems with people thinking like this? Nope. And, in the slim chance that He DID realize what was going to happen it is obvious He gave two shits and a good goddamn about it. God wants people to fight. Bastard:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eNUELJ4N_aw

Mark 7:10 says, "For Moses said, give honor to your father and mother, and, he who says evil of father or mother, let him have the punishment of death."
Wow. Do you realize how many kids would be put to death if this stupidity were still followed?
This is a truly fucked up video. Pay close attention because there is a part that suggests that stoning someone to death is more humane than crucifixion:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=96cn1BiTeGI

Leviticus 20:10 says, "If a man commits adultery with another man's wife-with the wife of his neighbor-both the adulterer and the adulteress are to be put to death."
Hummm...what about the married pastors that cat around? What about Jimmy Swaggart and Benny Hinn and other philandering 'men of God'? Wait, don't tell me...they DON'T count because the women were not their literal neighbors, right?
Watch this entire video. It is relatively short:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vYyiwN-kMHs

Exodus 35:2 says, "Six days shall work be done, but on the seventh day but on the seventh day there shall be to you an holy day, a Sabbath of rest to the Lord: Whoever does work therein shall be put to death."
And just like that there goes a majority of working America.
Okay, listen to what this video says and then contemplate this 'Old Testament law versus NEW Testament law' and really and truly ask yourself if you can reconcile God's supposedly unchanging, ever-present, never-fading law with the idea that the New Testament is NEW law ordained by God/Jesus. What was wrong with the OLD law? Seems like someone has their not-going-to-fade-away-like-the-grass comment all wrong:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_k8sdtMemeE

Numbers 15:32-36 says, "While the Israelites were in the wilderness, a man was found gathering wood on the Sabbath day. Those who found him gathering wood took him to Moses and Aaron and the whole assembly, and they kept him in custody, because it was not clear what should be done with him. Then the Lord said to Moses, "The man must die. The whole assembly must stone him outside the camp. So, the assembly took him outside the camp and stoned him to death, as the Lord commanded Moses."
And there goes what is left of working America.
Wow. In this video not only are people questioning whether or not they obey the OLD law as opposed to the NEW law but also bicker over whether or not the actual Sabbath is on the modern-day Saturday or the modern-day Sunday:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gxX7OKSdIDc

Deuteronomy 21:18-21 says, "If someone has a stubborn and rebellious son who does not obey his father and mother and will not listen to them when they discipline him, his father and mother shall take hold of him and bring him to the elders at the gate of his town. They shall say to the elders, "This son of ours is stubborn and rebellious. He will not obey us. He is a glutton and a drunkard." Then all the men of his town are to stone him to death. You must purge the evil from among you. All Israel will hear of it and be afraid."
Well, there go a good portion of the boys of the world. Never mind the part about being a glutton and a drunkard, what about the part where the kid isn't listening? Did the idiot who wrote this even have kids? Not likely. I have children and while there were times when I was sure they were driving me up the wall with their disagreement with whatever I was trying to get done NEVER ONCE would I have killed them for their disobedience.
Look what we have here! Tada! A Christian defender of the Bible jumps to the defense of the verses in the Old Testament about stoning kids. That isn't what God REALLY meant:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ev6jeT8btTA

Leviticus 20:11-15 says, "If a man has sexual relations with his father's wife, he has dishonored his father. Both the man and the woman are to be put to death; their blood will be on their own heads. If a man has sexual relations with his daughter-in-law, both of them are to be put to death. What they have done is a perversion; their blood will be on their own heads. If a man has sexual relations with a man as one does with a woman, both of them have done what is detestable. They are to be put to death; their blood will be on their own heads. If a man marries both a woman and her mother, it is wicked. Both he and they must be burned in the fire, so that no wickedness will be among you. If a man has sexual relations with an animal, he is to be put to death, and you must kill the animal."
So, uhmm...never mind the part about laying with a man as with a woman. We have heard that ad naseum, right? How about the part about incest? How does this law equate with Adam and Eve supposedly populating the entire planet? I mean, there would be absolutely NO WAY WHATSOEVER for that to have happened purely from Adam and Eve WITHOUT rampant incest.
This is just straight up fucked up. This guy totally and completely validates Old Testament incest. Some of the reasons he gives are there were no other alternatives and that law was not put into effect against incest until way later. Oh, and he says the deformation of chromosomes did not catch up until AFTER the sin. That of course makes no sense because all people other than Adam and Eve came about AFTER being tossed out of the Garden of Eden by God for eating the fruit of the wrong tree. That was the fall...and it came BEFORE any of the incest. Soooooo...:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y4yyVfCgVaI

Leviticus 20:17 says, "If a man marries his sister, the daughter of either his father or his mother, and they have sexual relations, it is a disgrace. They are to be publicly removed from their people. He has dishonored his sister and will be held responsible."
     Three words: Adam and Eve.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7sLri2Bg4g8

Leviticus 20:27 says, "A man or woman who is a medium or spiritist among you must be put to death. You are to stone them; their blood will be upon their own heads."
Well, in the small print this verse means that only those mediums and spiritists OUTSIDE of Christianity or God's 'special circle' are put to death, right? How many times in the Bible do we come across prophets with 'powers' supposedly given by God, people who look for signs and interpret them in order to know what God is trying to tell them (never mind He could just as easily tell them exactly what He wanted instead of playing a fucked up version of twenty goddamn questions)?
I think Christianity has so much crap to say about the occult because it does not want the competition. Period. If people get to thinking that there are more ways to think than one way, that there may be power other than the decrepit and delusional power offered by the Bible, well that is lost business for Jesus and His endorsers.
And you know what, with all of this strength that God is supposed to give His believers they sure are a bunch of scared puddy-tats. Listen to the LONG list of no-nos that this guy offers. ? Wow. What can you say? First of all, not everyone who studies such things are bad just like everyone who is a Christian is not good. You know who you are in your heart, and you bring into your life what you are in your heart. It really does not matter who you are or where you are from. There are lots of people who can do some interesting and seemingly inexplicable things that are highly unusual...but these things are not bad unless the people use them for bad.
Secondly, if the people do not know what they are doing or do not believe what they are doing...NOTHING will happen. Thirdly, making people afraid of everything is not helping your cause. You say your God will help you to discern between good things and bad things. So, what are you so afraid of? Is a person who interprets dreams evil? Is a person who practices psychometry evil?
You all are a bunch of scared people, waiting for attack from any angle because your God has told you to be afraid of EVERYTHING. It has to make you wonder what He is hiding from you. Perhaps there is another reason after all as to why 'occult' means hidden. Do you really think the God of the Bible would want His slaves to get a hold of information that would break them from the chains of religion? Even if it is only the study of philosophy and the in-depth study of cultures and various faiths and religions in an effort to better understand the people and the world around us, do you think Christianity wants to lose its grip on the lives of so many?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=csf7CZ_67lg

Leviticus 21:17 says, "Say to Aaron, "For the generations to come none of your descendants who has a defect may come near to offer the food of his God. No man who has any defect may come near: no man who is blind or lame, disfigured, or deformed, no man with a crippled foot or hand or who is a hunchback or a dwarf, or who has any eye defect or who has festering or running sores or damaged testicles."
Oh, THIS is lovely. Come not nigh unto God if ye be retarded or gimpy or feeble. You would think a just and righteous God would have never, ever said anything so ever-loving detestable. What a bastard. If God is forever just and knowledgeable and all that horseshit He would NEVER have said this. Never. EVER.
Chew on THIS, oh God of Moses. This dog shows more compassion for the disabled than your ass...and this is a DOG. You are supposed to be GOD:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JA8VJh0UJtg

Leviticus 24:19 says, "Anyone who injures their neighbor is to be injured in the same manner. Fracture for fracture, eye for eye, tooth for tooth. The one who has inflicted the injury must suffer the same injury."
Well, alright! Let us get all the Native American tribes together to dish out some long-needed justice on the descendants of the Europeans. I bet there are those of you who got offended by such a statement. Good. You SHOULD be offended by such a statement. It is a horrible statement. What makes God saying it any less terrible?
The lady in this video puts it exactly how it should be put. She is absolutely correct in pointing out the double standard of Christianity and in her assertion that organized religion is detrimental to society/humanity:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GrP_TSeDt8s

Leviticus 24:21 says, "Whoever kills an animal must make restitution, but whoever kills a human being is to be put to death. You are to have the same law for the foreigner and the native born. I am the Lord your God."
Ah, look. ANOTHER area where Christianity totally and completely fails. They say all scripture is from God and is pure truth and the real, ACTUAL words of God that are as good today as they were when they were written. Really? I bet the slave owners of the early United States thought differently, and weren't some of those men and women supposed to be Christian?
That is all beside the fact I suppose, for the real issue for this particular verse is this law regarding the 'killing' of people and who this particular law of not killing people should apply to, and WHEN it should apply. Take a look at this video and listen to this asshole try to justify God killing women and children and...well, pretty much anyone at any time for any reason:
